Staring at the Skyscrapers
I took this photograph of these people looking at Manhattan from Brooklyn because it resembled a much safer version of this photo taken in 1932 by Charles C. Ebbets.
This shot is like the view I had when I lived in an apartment in West New York, New Jersey. It faced the 72nd Street boat basin. The river and traffic was amazing and the fireworks each 4th seemed like they were right over my head.

I like your modern take on that classic image.
Just a lovely shot, Bibi! I get the heebie-jeebies just looking at the other photo!
a great capture bibi...love it.
Very nice reworking of Ebetts iconic photo, I love it!
Ebbets even!
YES! Your version does not induce acrophobia in «Louis» the way the 1932 image does!
I must say that it is such an interesting skyline!
And Eek! at the photo link!
This is a great (safe) shot.
But I'm sorry we didn't encounter this, as you said you wanted to while you were here.
OH lovely shot, Bibi, and such fun compared to the Ebbets photo. Great to see the photo that Alexa took too.
i actually like both.

That older photo had always given me vertigo.
