A Touch of Italy in Belgrade

Yesterday I treated you to a bright yellow wall and window, Mexican style, and now we have here a display that reminds me of windows/walls I have seen on back streets of some Italian cities I've visited. Once again, these windows come to you courtesy of Belgrade's adjacent municipality of Zemun.

Zemum looks like a very colorful place to live—are are these shots from yesterday and today just wonderful exceptions to the rule? Love the way you've framed this!

Fascinating. There's so much to see in this picture. The outer window frames look like something that would go around a painting and the inner window frames look like they need painting!

I love the little pots and the mini-railing and the clothes hanging on the line are a great touch.

Super shot, Bibi!

I love the nice rails on the window ledge. Someone has a green thumb and looks well to the plants. The laundry is what puts the Italian spin on it for me. Very fun to see, and very cheerful.

Alexa, Zemun used to belong to the Austro-Hungarian Empire, and its architecture is distinctive--different from most of the city of Belgrade. These windows though are not representative of that style, and so, yes, they're colorful exceptions! :<)

Ditto to what everyone else has written about the windows, laundry, and I love the lines - horizontal, diagonal, tiled roof. Great composition.

I love everything about this photo - the color, the textures, the varied "attitude" of the wash, and the rooftops. Really fantastic composition.

Rich, red and earthy. Mainland Europe everywhere has such rich primary tones. The washing too, highlighting that red and white as a theme. I could go on Let's say I like this.
