Composition in blue, red, green, and white

Dutch painter Piet Mondrian developed a non-representational form of art that he called Neo-Plasticism, which consisted of a white background upon which was painted a grid of vertical and horizontal black lines and the three primary colors. There's no grid here, but somehow this composition reminded me of his work. If you click on the Neo-Plasticism link, scroll down the page and see if you agree.

GR8 colors, GR8 eye, and you really know your art. I love this post.
Years ago I took some ceramics classes and while looking thru magazines for ideas, came across raku fired boats that remind me so much of these. I could not find the link to that specific artist, but here is the idea: http://www.stevenforbesdesoule.com/pottery/index.php.
PS - my husband graduated PVHS in '67 and his older brother in '65. That's why I have a '67 photo (from the library...I don't know if he even bought the yearbook. All he cared about then was surfing.)

At first glance this doesn't remind me of Mondrian, but I do love it.

It's beautiful.

Bibi, you are a glorious photographer. I love this composition, as well as the colors and the atmosphere that you evoke.

I also agree that its grid system is reminiscent of Modrian. I love him and have emulated his style in some of my silkscreens.
Best.

SPRING FASHION

This is a post that would be better in color, but maybe not. These colors were soooo pale.
