c'est pas facile de resister ;o))
Oh what lovely wares, I am sure I could spend a nice chunk of cash there ...
I have some of these! I've seen them in high-end stores out in the Hamptons, but I buy them in Marshalls and TJ Maxx. It says "Made in Poland" on the bottom. I always wanted to know more about them.
Thanks Bibi.
: )
I love this pottery. Hard to haul on an airplane though. How about shipping some home? ;-) But nothing wrong with driving and filling the trunk.
OMG!!!!!!!!! I was just in Bolesławiec in a pottery shop this morning!!!! You must come to Poznań and let me give you a tour. I'm serious!
Oh, you cannot find the little demi-tasse cups like that here...but I like Lily H. buy them at TJMaxx esp. around the holidays. Lovely portrait of Anya too.
It reminds me of Portugal's pottery but I know it's not :)
Et Anya semble avoir beaucoup de charme!
Fantastic pottery - my wife would have to drag ME out of there!
This looked familiar to me—and now that I've seen Lily's comment I know why. Looks like the three of us should get together again—in Poland! (I'll take an egg cup to add to my collection. What's your first choice?)
I love Polish pottery. I'm so jealous. I have transitioned to almost nothing but these pieces. My friends know it as "my" Polish pottery. Someday I will make it there to shop myself! Thanks for sharing.
I'd have a hard time passing this opportunity as well.
Your visit to Poland reminds «Louis» of the superb "Splendors of Poland" exhibit at the San Francisco Palace of the Legion of Honor a few years back. Anyone who has paid any attention to the history of Poland will never tell a "Polish joke".
