ABC WEDNESDAY--"K" is for "knick-knack"

It's times like this when I am happy I do not collect things anymore. I think the older we get, the more we downsize. I used to collect teapots in odd shapes, and still have a few, but it's downsize, downsize for me now.

But these knick-knacks are cute....

How about you? Do you collect something?

See more J's at ABC WEDNESDAY.

Am trying not to collect stuff now while in the US for several months.

I think the knick-knacks probably look different in Belgrade, non? I watched an interesting travel program about Serbia on TV this week!

Klever (and yes, Kitchy) K, BibKins.
I'm with you on downsizing. I went thru a period a few years ago of collecting ceraminc pitchers... Still have lots of knick-knacks, that I slowly part with. Now instead of buying, I'm happy to take photos.

Dust. That's what seems to collect in my house because of all the books and knickknacks. :-)

I recognize a few of those.

I collect sterling silver jewelry, not to big and bulky, can enjoy wearing it and call it "my retirement."

I had a mug collection .. didnt buy a single one, someone who traveled brought them back for me ... I do collect all things 'heart' ... what a fabulous collection of dust catchers ... is it in a store or does it belong to someone?

these are really sweet though I know exactly what you mean. I try not to collect anything except maybe flowers that can be planted outside.

Wonderful choice for K! I'm mostly trying to downsize at this point—but still collect Eiffel Towers (was just given one that lights up!).

I'm as happy as a pig in mud visiting antique, junk, and thrift shops. But I try to resist buy small things these days. too many end up being stored in boxes.

Yes, Bibi, good choice for "K"...
«Louis» collects model cars - but limits the collection to Packards and Studebakers.

PICKLED RED ONIONS

My grandmother used to make these around Thanksgiving and now so have I.  Great as a tart side, in salads, or in a leftover turkey sandwic...
