No hurry to dry

Snow's almost gone, but in a few places it's still around. It's hard to dry your clothes in cold, damp weather.

Oh oh. They might never dry. Not until summer anyway. What a great slice-of-life photo!

No thanks to cold sheets. This image looks like a painting.

Goodness yes, imagine trying to dry clothes and bedding with snow outside. Incredible. Love the shot. I agree with Gaelyn, it looks like a painting. Did you do some interesting post processing? Really like it.

We do love our cloth air dried. Actually I have friends who have dryers but the bathrooms here are not built with the ventilation for the dryer, and anywhere else they would just take up so much space. We love washing our cloth at home and the laundry places just would not work here, except when you really need them or for the travelers.
Beautiful picture. Great colors.

One of the oldest forms of going GREEN. I just have to ask. Is your photo HDR?

Hello, readers.

Yes, I touched up this photo with HDR. I did several versions, but liked this one best.

Yuck .. its amazing how those 'berms' (I was told thats what those unmelted snow piles are) linger ..

Hee-hee. In college, I did a plaster cast over chicken wire that I can now relate to stiff laundry! I knew it came from somewhere (although in Tuzla, we strung our laundry in the hallway "hodnik" during the winter months.)

That's a very beautiful photo. It has the color tones and texture of an old painting and the grit of a modern city.

This thumbnail really caught my eye! What a wonderful photo you captured! It looks cold, yet carries the hope of spring warmth in it. Beautiful!

CROSS-CULTURE BREAKFAST

Have been in India one week. I brought my hostess some ajvar, which she found goes very well on a chapati.
