Skywatch--Big blue sky over big dead mammoth

Kind of a spooky sight, isnt it? This mammoth skeleton was discovered near Kikinda, Serbia, and stands proudly there!

See other skies at SKYWATCH FRIDAY.

Haha! Downunder here in OZ we're devoted to Big Things - but while we've got the Big Sky, Big mammoths are a bit thin on the ground!!

Have a great weekend!!

After seeing Ice Age I fell in love with mammoths. We do have lot of them here, mostly forgotten in the crypts of the museums. People constantly keep coming up with their bones when building houses or renovating. How it must have looked here when we were not around, with mammoths running around! Beautiful!

Wow, what an awesome, impressive and unique SkyWatch photo! I wonder what kind of world that mammoth experienced during his or her lifetime. I wish we could hear those bones speak to us.

The blue of that sky is really gorgeous!
