ABC Wednesday--"U" is for "unsettling"

I like this floor pattern in downtown hallway where a friend lives, I really do, but I find it somewhat unsettling to walk on...which way are those little blocks going to tumble? :)

Very dizzyfying! I have a picture of a floor exactly like that—it's in the doge's palace, in Venice.

What a great photo! But, I'd probably fall on my keister trying to negotiate this hallway!

I like the pattern too. But, would not like to walk across that floor looking down. Made me dizzy just scrolling past.

Undulating under our undercarriage.
I totally agree with James, one of THE coolest floors. Your photo of a section of it makes it all the more interesting.
I did a small wall hanging quilt on a sewing machine with one of the squares with these blocks. Still remember how time consuming the diagonal corners were to sew.
