Not real gold, nor even some kind of metal, or even a Golden Retriever. This dog, painted a golden yellow, adorns a large gate on a residence in downtown Belgrade. I believe that in art dogs lying down mean faithfulness, but am not sure. Anybody know?
Check out other G's on ABC WEDNESDAY.

I don't know either, but I like the sculpture.
I don't know, but you could always try Googling it to find out!
That is a great feature and I wonder what material was used? He is adorable and love this perched dog!

That dog has always been gray, just like the stone post it's on. It must have been painted recently, but it looks nice. It's the building at the bottom of Francuska Ulica (French Street), isn't it? I believe Nikola Pasic (Serbian WWI prime minister) might have lived in that house...
il est beau ce chien en or, on dirait presque un vrai, on attend qu'il saute ;)
Knez, yes, you are right in the location, and I think it is the house you mention; if not, the one beside it.
At first glance I thought it was a real dog .. and wondered how the heck .. and then I read ...
I'm not sure, but I think in art it means the dog is lying down. Heh, heh!
Cute puppy. I've got a Golden Retriever so I do know this ain't one of them!
Sure is an ornate gate.
