Laundry day

I'm always looking for open doorways that lead into courtyards and unexpected finds. I like the colors on this laundry. For those of you who may not know, the 'sheet' in the middle with a diamond shape cut out is a quilt cover...just push the quilt through and adjust!

Well, this is another great slice-of-life! Never heard of a quilt cover...if I tried that I'd probably get all wrapped up and fall on the floor!

What a lovely photo! I love the vibrant colours. I like the quilt cover too!!! Much easier than my finicky one.

The colors and texture are fabulous! I agree with Virginia (as usual)—it does look like a painting.

What amazing colors and textures. If you hadn't mentioned it, I wouldn't have noticed the cover. Just the other day I was wondering why I couldn't buy that kind of cover in the US for my tuhica. My baka made several for us from her own geese with beautifully colored covers which peaked through the diamond.

Gorgeous setting. Looks like a master painting of country life. Yup, I remember covers like that for "jorgan". In fact, I noticed one in Visnja na Tasmajdanu which I watched a couple of weeks ago on YouTube.

Who would say that ugly bricks can be a nice touch on the picture. Laundry is nice for the photo but having it in your neighborhood not such a pleasant thing.

PICKLED RED ONIONS

My grandmother used to make these around Thanksgiving and now so have I.  Great as a tart side, in salads, or in a leftover turkey sandwic...
