ABC WEDNESDAY--"F" is for "Fly"

Cheerful mural! Although there's no snow in this photo (took it a couple of weeks ago), Belgrade has been pretty much covered with snow this month. I wanted to fly somewhere....

Where would you go if you could hop aboard? France? Frankfurt? Fairbanks? Florence? Fargo?

See other F's on ABC WEDNESDAY.

I love to go! It can be any of your choices Bibi.
I have heard about the heavy snows and cold winter you are having. Hope it warms up for you soon.

This is a fun mural...book me a first-class seat to France or Italy please! (One-way is OK) :-)

Funny. I thought it was my greenish-yellow submarine! That guy is watching every move you make!

I suspect you got more snow than Albany, NY, less than a half meter for the whole winter!

Reminds me of the Beatles' yellow submarine—except that it's green. :~} My choice: France (Paris, of course).

Costa Rica, in two and a half weeks. This looks like a flying pea pod.

I do not recommend going to Fairbanks or Fargo at this time of the year.

Florence would be great! It looks like this guy would need some extra leg room if he boarded this plane. :-)

Without doubt, FLORENCE! I only spent about 3 hours there my one time I was there and MUST go back! Love the mural and hope you have a fun week - sans snow! :D

Like Lowell, I thought of the Beatles Yellow Submarine. Murals bring a new meaning to public art. Please consider linking to Monday Mural at

We'd love your participation.

I'd go to Florence Bibi! In fact, I am planning a road trip from Bologna to Sorrento this year and still trying to decide whether to road trip around Serbia or just visit Belgrade and Novi Sad for Exit Festival.

Fun shot .. I do not miss having snow ... I am not sure I trust it wont snow in March .. NYC has some odd weather .. and if I could fly away right now, I think I'd go visit my Los Angeles friend since its warm and there's no chance of snow ... alternatively if I wanted cold and snow, I'd fly to Paris

So, where are the pictures of the snow? How deep is it? When will it go down? I am looking forwards to visiting Belgrade and southern Serbia this May but don't want to go if the snow or floods are there at that time.
Some photos of snow scenes in Belgrade please.
Thank you

Hi, Milos! I don't plan on showing much snow...I'm tired of it, but you can probably still see Serbian snow on the Internet news.

SUNSET

A beautiful urban sunset over New Belgrade. The 'smoke' from the stacks on the left is actually just steam from the heating plant....
