Ingenuity Part II
I watched this fellow in Tasmajdan (Tash-MY-dahn) park the other day. He had attached an elastic cord to a tennis ball, and the other end to the rear (now in front!) of his baseball cap. He batted away, and while I watched, the tennis ball got him only once.

Three cheers for the Red, Blue, and White!
Congratulations to him and to Serbia, whose flag is three stripes of red, blue, and white, and Happy Fourth of July to my American readers, whose flag is red, white, and blue!
And to the English as well, since Wimbledon is in England, and their flag is those same three colors, too!
I'll be returning to Belgrade very soon, but not soon enough to greet Novak upon his return.

Cold, but unstoppable....
Yesterday it snowed in Everett, 20 or so minutes above Seattle....
I am still in the US on family matters.

SKYWATCH -- The sun sets
The sign draping the left side of the Genex Tower reads "Go, Eagles!", referring to the Serbian national team.
No victory, but they can still enjoy a beer.
Enjoy a beer and view other skies on SKYWATCH.

CUPCAKES!!!
Yes, these are cupcakes, or rather 'cup cakes,' since the World Cup started this past weekend in South Africa. This post goes out for all cake lovers and especially for Marie-Noyale of Larchmont Daily Photo, who posted mouthwatering cupcakes last Saturday.Monday, June 7, 2010
The wedding dress race
Yesterday on Nikola Pasic square a wedding dress race was held. Although these three girls look like they could be off to the church, they were actually three of the 120 participants ready to compete in the what-will-probably-turn-out-to-be annual 'Wedding Dress Race." Wedding dresses were supplied by the race's organizers. The lucky first-prize winner won a trip for two to Slovenia and a subscription to "Venčanje" (Wedding) magazine. The second-place winner won a trip for two to Serbia's mountain resort, Zlatibor, while the participant chosen at the end of the race as 'Miss Wedding Dress Race" won two tickets for last night's Bob Dylan concert at the Belgrade Arena. And by the way, did you know Bob Dylan wrote a song called "Wedding Song?" I didn't. You can read the lyrics right here.

Exercising by the river
Inspired by Kim of Seattle Daily Photo, who has been posting some excellent shots created with a tilt-shift program (as opposed to a super-costly lens), I searched around on the Net and came up with this tilt-shift site. This shot isn't perfect, and I'll keep trying, but it's fun experimenting. Want to give it a try?Thursday, May 6, 2010

Theme Day -RED- and April Fool!
Now, today, aside from being April Fool's Day, is also Theme Day, and it's RED! The fellow in the photo was on his way to Belgrade's Sports Arena to see The Davis Cup, that was held there from March 5th to 7th.
See if anybody else will fool you or else just see RED right here:
